Competitor Eligibility

Local Championships (Domestic and International)
Hyperflite Skyhoundz (Domestic and International) Local Championships are free events, open to all competitors regardless of experience. You are welcome to enter as many Hyperflite Skyhoundz Local Championships as you like and there are no geographic restrictions.

U.S. Regional Qualifiers Registration fees apply. Prequalification is not required. Eligibility for Hyperflite Skyhoundz Regional Qualifiers held in the U.S. is based on residence in a geographic region as follows:

North Central Region
Competitors from the following states are eligible to compete in the North Central Regional: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Northeast Region
Competitors from the following states are eligible to compete in the Northeast Regional: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Northwest Region
Competitors from the following states are eligible to compete in the Northwest Regional: Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

South Central Region
Competitors from the following states are eligible to compete in the South Central Regional: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Southeast Region
Competitors from the following states are eligible to compete in the Southeast Regional: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Southwest Region
Competitors from the following states are eligible to compete in the Southwest Regional: Arizona, California, and Nevada.

Open Qualifier Anyone may compete in the Open Qualifier and there are no geographic limitations for competitor entry. Registration fees apply.

Last Chance Open Qualifier The "Last Chance" Open Qualifier is held on the Friday before the World Championship and is, literally, the final opportunity to qualify to compete in the Hyperflite Skyhoundz World Canine Disc Championship. Any team, from any country, may compete in the Last Chance Open Qualifier. In the Last Chance Open Qualifier, four invitations to the World Championship will be extended in the Open Division-Expert Class as well as four Sport Division-Expert Class invitations. Two invitations will be extended to the top two small-dog teams competing in the MicroDog Division and two invitations will also be extended to the top finishing teams in the Pairs Freestyle Division. As in previous Open Qualifiers, there will be no geographic limitations for competitor entry. Everyone, including current World Finalists, is eligible and may earn additional invitations to the Worlds. Registration fees apply.

International Qualifiers International Qualifiers for the Hyperflite Skyhoundz World Championship are held in a number of countries. Competitors from Canada are eligible to compete in any Hyperflite Skyhoundz Qualifier held in Canada. Competitors from any European Country may compete in any Hyperflite Skyhoundz Qualifier held in Europe. For East Asian teams that do not have a Skyhoundz International Qualifier in their home country (Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, R.O.C., two additional slots in each competitive division will be reserved (for each of the aforementioned countries) for the top finishing teams that compete in the Last Chance Open Qualifier in the U.S. Note: U.S. residents are not eligible to earn invitations to the World Championship at an International Qualifier, but may compete for awards. Registration fees apply.

World Championship Invitations to the Hyperflite Skyhoundz World Championship are awarded at Hyperflite Skyhoundz Regional, Open, and International Qualifiers.

Hyperflite DiscDogathons Hyperflite DiscDogathons are open to all competitors regardless of experience. Competitors are welcome to enter as many Hyperflite DiscDogathons as they like and there are no geographic restrictions. Registration fees apply.
